Athena (Janakas) Mangos Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 9, 2023, at the age of 82, Athena (Janakas) Mangos of Danvers, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her brother-in-law Rip Metaxas; her parents, Angela Janakas and George Janakas; her siblings, Aristotle and Anna Panagiotopoulos; her brother-in-law Aristide; and her siblings' child Vasili.

She is survived by: her sister Springfield; her sons, Chris, George and James; her sister Effie (Aphrodite); her siblings' child Lew; her husband Harry Mangos (Greek Orthodox Church); her daughters-in-law, Terry and Robin; her sisters, Aphrodite Metaxas (Effie) and Star Diantgikis (James); her grandchildren, Alexander, Athena and Amanda; her granddaughter-in-law Maria; her granddaughters, Anastasia and Theodora; her great grandchild Max; her siblings' children, Venessa Diantgikis, Angela Diantgikis Shalhoub, Lewis Metaxas and Marianne Metaxas; her great-niece Arianna Shalhoub; her great-nephew John Shalhoub; her nephew George Panagiotopoulos of Athens, Greece.; and also, Michelle, Tina, Lily and Dr. Joseph Shalhoub. She is also survived by many cousins, extended family members, and many close friends.
