He is survived by: his son Patrick McDermott; his daughter-in-law Elmida Ramirez of Danvers; his grandchildren, Hansen and Hannah Ramirez; his sister-in-law Marsha McDermott of Danvers; and his nephews, Michael and Jeffrey McDermott.
