He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Marmelo and Alice Marmelo (Costa); his sister Connie Pacheco; and his granddaughter Kasey Marmelo. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Marmelo (Vilela); his son Paul Marmelo (Bernadette); his grandsons, Zachary Marmelo and Nicholas Marmelo; and his siblings, Ines Figueiredo, Umbelina Almeida, Barbara Carreiro, Fatima Cardoso and Jose Marmelo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
