In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Joseph had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Joseph may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his wife Olivia "Olive" Martins (Dias Rego); and his parents, Jose Viveiros Fonseca and Maria Jose Fonseca. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Victoria and Travis; Honorina "Nina" Furtado of Lisbon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home (690 S Main St, Fall River, MA 02721). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (795 Dartmouth St, Dartmouth, MA 02748). An entombment will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at the Notre Dame Cemetery (1540 Stafford Rd, Fall River, MA 02721).
