Lidia F. Deus Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lidia F. Deus of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 22, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband José Deus, Jr.; her parents, Manuel Furtado and Beatriz Furtado (Ferreira); and her siblings, Manuel Furtado João Furtado, Jaime Furtado, Louis Furtado, Gloria Amaral, Guilhermina Raposo, Naria Sousa, Jorgelina Pacheco, Dora Ferreira and Ilda Ferreira.
She is survived by: her daughter Melinda L. Soares (Mike) of Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Ricky Pontes and Stacey Barbosa; her great grandchildren, Lathan, Talon, Brailynn and Robbie; and her pets, Zyra, Nike and Squiggy. She is also survived by several Godchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home (129 Allen St, New Bedford, MA 02740). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (230 Bonney St, New Bedford, MA 02744).
