She was predeceased by: her parents, Joao Medeiros and Lurdes Medeiros (Alves); her spouse Deonildo Barbosa; and her siblings, Manuel Medeiros, Odilia Furtado, Jose Medeiros, Joao Luis Medeiros, Antonio Medeiros and Laurenio Medeiros.
She is survived by: her son Roy Barboza (Maria) of Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Avery and Trent Barboza of Dartmouth; and her sister Lurdes Felix of Canada. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rock Funeral Home (1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church (136 Earle St, New Bedford, MA 02746). A burial will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at the Pine Grove Cemetery (1100 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745).
