He is survived by : his wife Kristen Spencer; his children, Kayleigh, Meghan and Brody; his mother Edna Engdahl (Michael William'); and his aunt Marsha Kroell (Marty). He is also survived by family members and cousins.
David's love of comedy also inspired him to organize and host an annual comedy show where the profits were donated to the Bobby's Brigade charity. Donations in David's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association at diabetes.org.
