Giro J. Cardinal Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Giro J. Cardinal of Dedham, Massachusetts. Giro, born on April 6, 1931, passed away on September 29, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Giro J. Cardinal to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cardinal and Mary Cardinal (Lozzi); and his sisters, Vera Lyons and Geraldine Padden. He is survived by: his wife Jean A. Cardinal (DelConte); his children, Paula A. Cardinal-Centofanti of Westwood and John G. Cardinal of Dedham; his son-in-law John Centofanti of Westwood; his grandchildren, Amanda Cardinal-Centofanti, Patrick Fleming, Johnny, Adrianna, Julia Centofanti, Kaitlyn and Colin Cardinal; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Elliot, Janice Abbatangelo, Patricia DelConte and James Delconte. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sweeney Brothers Home For Funerals (1 Independence Ave, Quincy, MA 02169). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Anne's Church (90 W Milton St, Boston, MA 02136). The military honors will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at the same location.
