He is survived by: his wife Eleanor "Ellie" (Gallagher) of Dorchester, MA; his children, Joe Sullivan (Kim) of Mansfield, Nicky Muzrim (Paul) of Duxbury, Erin McGowan (P. J.) of Dedham and Chrissy Whelton (Steve) of Bradenton, FL.; his grandchildren, Ryan, Coleman, Kayla, Hayley, Corin, Noah, Allie, Christopher, Jaxson, Cam, Charlotte, Bridget, Ceara, Cailey and Jay; his great grandchildren, Teddy, Cullen, Liam and Riley; and his daughter-in-law Leslie Sullivan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
