He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert G. Mitchell and Mary E. Mitchell (Mahoney); and his brothers, Gerald P. Mitchell, Kenneth W. Mitchell and Albert G. Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen H. Mitchell; his children, Laura E. Mitchell, Diana K. Mitchell, Erin Bolger (John) of Canton, Michelle Bolger (Robert) of Walpole and Thomas Tierney (Jeannie Paparazzo) of Dedham; and his grandchildren, Sophia L. Mitrokostas, Jordan E. Gagnon, Stefanos Mitrokostas, Mitchell C. Fox, Ciara Bolger, John Lloyd Bolger, Colleen Bolger, Caitlin Bolger, Bobby Bolger, Brendan Bolger, Caela Bolger, Erika Tierney, Shawna Tierney and Gavin Tierney. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home (2055 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church (2078 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132).
