It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Parker Hirschel of Deerfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Henry departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Henry may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Henry leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henri and Marian (Parker) of Westwood, MA; and his sister Denise of Beacon Hill, Boston.. He is survived by: his significant other Janeen Quintal. He is also survived by her six sisters, and their multiple children and grandchildren.
He was also a quiet and unassuming philanthropist contributing generously to Amherst College and to UMASS Stockbridge School of Agriculture in addition to frequent and often anonymous contributions to various individuals in the Amherst community.
