We announce the death of Richard Hirtle of Dennis, Massachusetts, born in North Quincy, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 30, 2026. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Ann (Sellars); his parents, Charles Hirtle and Mary Margaret Hirtle; and his sister Betty Ann Adams. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Kilroy (Jeff) of Pembroke, Jacqueline Hirtle of Mashpee and Julianne Talley (Donald) of North Quincy; his grandchildren, Cameron, Connor, Chase, Bristol, Savannah, Beckham and Karter; and his sister Margaret "Peggy" Brangiforte of Weymouth. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home (326 Granite Ave, Milton, MA 02186). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Agatha Parish (432 Adams St, Milton, MA 02186).
