He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Mattie and Bertha Mattie (Pettipaw). He is survived by : his wife Patricia A. Mattie (Ducey); his children, John Mattie Jr. (Susan), Pamela A. Reed, Lynn A. Hughes (Kenneth) and Valerie A. Mattie-Reis (Jeff Reis); his sister Charlotte Fraiser; and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Holly, Benjamin, Christopher, Michelle, Heather, Breahna and John III. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
