He is survived by: his wife Cora Welch Reid; his children, Pamela Reid, Edward Reid Jr. (Renee Reid), David Herndon and Deryck Reid; his grandchildren, Niquel Ortega (Abelardo Ortega Jr.), Angel Willis, Ashlee Reid, Edward Zachary Reid and Alba Gilabert-Reid; and his great grandchildren, Netaya Johnson (Denzyl Johnson), Jason, Antonio Ortega, Avajah Willis, Abelardo Joel Ortega, Arielle Willis, Jaylen Savage and Elijah Reid. He is also survived by many great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
