He was predeceased by: his father James L. Tripp Jr.; his grandmother Lillie Luella Hendrick; and his friend Momma Lawson. He is survived by: his significant other Afua Hendricks; his mother Shirley Hendrick-Talabi; his brothers, Anthony Saunders (Brenda) and Bayo Talabi; his children, Takara Askew, Christian Scott Sr. and Skyler Hendricks; and his stepsons, James Courts, Jabari Courts and Jaleel Worrell.
