It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luz M. Alvarez of Dorchester, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 28, 2026, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bertha Turcios and Miguel Munguia; and her husband Emilio Carlos Alvarez. She is survived by: her children, Elvis Turcios (Nancy) of Woodhaven, NY, Marvin Munguia of East Hampstead and Margorie Kelly (Jorge Salas) of East Hampstead; her grandchildren, Susan, Angelica, David, Jose, Rafaelina, Soley and Idris; her great grandchildren, Elena, Elise, Emily, Allison and Baby Jayce; and her siblings, Rina, Carmen, Esperanza, Jose, Rueben, Iris, Lenny and Nulfo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
