She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Santo Rafael Fontanez and Carmen Guadalupe Santiago; and her daughter Iris Mendez (Vazza). She was also cherished by her 3 children, 25 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and many other family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Beechwood Home For Funerals (262 Beach St, Revere, MA 02151). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at the Oak Lawn Cemetery (427 Cummins Hwy, Boston, MA 02131).
