She was predeceased by: her daughter Karen Ann; her husband John "Jack" T. Hickey, Jr.; and her parents, Salvatore "Butch" Buffone and Rena Buffone (DiCicco). She is survived by: her children, Patricia Hickey of Salem, Steven Hickey of Douglas and Michael Hickey of Sutton. She is also survived by her three grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gayle's memory may be made to the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts, Boston.
