“I may not have had him as a teacher but I remember when he would come into my psychology class while it was still going on and he would say hi and talk to us a little bit. I also saw him in the cafeteria from time to time. When I heard that he passed away, I was just shocked and I think I cried a little. “Your beloved was the real deal! I am grateful for his advice and leadership. One of the last things he did, was stand up before Sen. Harriet Chandler at a recent Qcc event, where he straight up said what everyone else is too afraid to say. Jerry Williams, demonstrated for us how it’s done. You just do it! He wasn’t afraid to speak his mind. He made every student feel important. And, through his love of checker’s, Jerry helped the shyest of students feel like a champion. He was proud of his family and loved Christ. God bless him and keep him always!! Jerry will be remembered fondly and with a smile. I am so sorry for your loss. Nelly Medina: QCC student”
