He is survived by: his wife Patrice Mullaney Spalding; his daughter Catherine W. Spalding; his son-in-law Michael I. Mutter of Needham; his daughter Nancy W. Spalding Gray of Chatham; and his grandchildren, Sarah S. Mutter (Gavin K. Davis), Samuel S. Gray, Natalie S. Mutter and Caroline E. Gray.
