He was predeceased by: his wife Diana Nielsen (Wilkins); his parents, Lawrence P. Nielsen and Jennie M. Nielsen (Guys); and his siblings, Lorna Driscoll and Walter "Wicky" Nielsen.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Schuit (Scott) of Union Grove, WI, Darlene Laferriere (Daniel) of Lowell, MA and Derek Nielsen (Erica) of Hudson, NH; his grandchildren, Cyrena Nielsen, Alana Nielsen, Shayleigh Nielsen, Evan Nielsen and Bria Lang; his great grandchildren, Isla, Elodie and Winter; and his sisters, Carol Prescott of Chelmsford, MA, Doreen Regan of Lowell, MA and Michelle Laurencio of Nashua, NH. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Morse-Bayliss Funeral Home (122 Princeton Blvd, Lowell, MA 01851). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
