She was predeceased by: her spouse Chanel T. Houle, Jr.; and her parents, Jean Paul and Liane Rousseau (Plante). She is survived by: her children, Christine Schertell (John), Michelle Houle (Lode Van Beusekom) and Chanel Houle, III (Ginger); her grandchildren, Andrew Sylvester, Chanel Houle, Alyssa Sylvester and Lisa Houle; her great grandchild Makenna Nicholaides; her sister Jean Rousseau; her sister-in-law Linda Rousseau (Brent Douglas); and her nephew John Rousseau.

She was also an active contributor to the WWI Blue Star Memorial Garden, donating her time to plant and maintain the grounds.
