He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Chateauneuf and Alice Chateauneuf; his brother Russel Chateauneuf; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Stopyra, Susan Hume and Dorothy Bahlmann.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Chateauneuf; his son Joseph Chateauneuf (Stephanie) of South Portland, ME; his grandchildren, Thomas and Damian; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Chateauneuf (Janet), Doreen Stopyra and JoAnn Marcos; and his in-laws, Seta Chateauneuf of Cranston, RI, Steve Hume (Carol) of Easton, CT, Michael Hume of Wheaton, IL and John Bahlmann of Plainfield, IL. He is also survived by several great nieces and a great nephew.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dracut Funeral Home (2159 Lakeview Ave, Dracut, MA 01826). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Magdalen (95 Lakeview Ave, Tyngsborough, MA 01879).
