It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stuart Shaffer (Dracut, Massachusetts), who passed away on March 16, 2026, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Stuart Shaffer to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eileen B. Trachina and Malcolm E. Shaffer; and his stepson William "Billy" Shaffer. He is survived by: his children, Evan Shaffer (Megan Shaffer) of Pelham, NH and Dana MacDonald (Eric MacDonald) of Methuen, MA; his siblings, Marc Shaffer (Patricia) and Kimberly Sullivan (Michael Sullivan) of Victorville, CA; his close friend Patricia Shaffer (Lauren Smith) of Plaistow, NH; his brother Scott Tranchina (TX); and his grandchildren, Noah, Nathan, Isla, Cameron and Avery. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Stu was always the adult in the room at ACC and I trusted his friendship. I know he loved his children above all. He was a good example of what a loving father should be.
