She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary K. McSweeney and Eugene McSweeney of Medford, MA; her husband Maurice E. "Mossy" McCarthy, Jr.; and her in-laws, John McCarthy (Elizabeth) and Joyce McDonough (Edward).
She is survived by: her children, Sean M. McCarthy (Elizabeth) of Arvada, CO, Sheila A. Kaplan of Scituate, Maura C. Cutler (James W. Cutler III) of Madison, CT, Maurice E. McCarthy, III of Walpole, Terrence E. McCarthy (Amber) of Grand Rapids, MI and Brendan P. McCarthy (Emily) of Hanover; her grandchildren, Ela Megan, Michael, James, Teoman "Theo", Mary Isabel, Lucy, Mary Katherine, Reese, Nathaniel, Charlotte, Carson, Beckett and Violet; her brothers, James G. McSweeney (Elaine) of Peabody, Eugene J. McSweeney (Lorraine) of Wells, ME and Neal J. McSweeney (Nancy) of Medford; and her family Mimi.
