He was predeceased by: his parents, Blanche Dowd and James Dowd; and his brothers, James, John and Kevin Dowd.
He is survived by: his spouse Pat; his daughters, Anne Marie Carroll (Pat) of Leonia, NJ, Patti Dowd (Gilly Kent), Jennifer Anastasiades (Michael) of Hanover, MA and Keri Sullivan (Stephen) of Milton, MA.; his grandchildren, Meghan (Monte), Rosemary, Jack, Anna, Krista (Matthew), Alexandra, Mia, Kelsey, Lucy, Michael, Neil and Nora; and his great grandchildren, Emmett, Lucas, Quentin and Rory.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the MacDonald Funeral Home (1755 Ocean St, Marshfield, MA 02050). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Angels Parish (392 Hanover St, Hanover, MA 02339).
