Madeline Angela Matus Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Madeline Angela Matus of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 4, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Kostopulos (Buoniconti) and John Kostopulos Sr.; her son Cecil Haney; and her siblings, Anna, Gloria and Bill.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Fotiathis (Tom), Theodore Matus (Melanie) and Melissa Dieni (Frank); her grandchildren, Kirsten Dieni, John Dieni, Andrew Dieni and Omri Matus; and her siblings, John Kostopulos (Margie) of Florida and Joan Lachapelle.
A reception was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation (220 N Main St, East Longmeadow, MA 01028). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (421 Tinkham Rd, Springfield, MA 01129).
