It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Viola Mitchell (East Longmeadow, Massachusetts), born in Verdigre, Nebraska, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Charles Jerman; her husband Harold Mitchell; and her daughter Deborah Stoddard. She is survived by: her children, Bette Lee Miller (Carey) of Longmeadow, MA and Donald Mitchell (Ineke) of The Netherlands; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Miller Nelson (Derwin) of Newton, NC, Andrea Mitchell of St. Petersburg, FL, Jason Mitchell (Suhaila) of Sterling, VA, Sarah Miller Friedberg (Jason) of Lewisberg, PA, Jill Stoddard (Billy Knorr) of Newburyport, MA, Jeffrey Stoddard (Karen) and James Stoddard of Worcester, MA. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at First Church of Christ, Longmeadow.
