It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Leize (Platt) McCaffrey of East Taunton, Massachusetts, born in Somerville, New Jersey, who passed away on July 7, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Platt and Ruth Platt (Street); her sisters, Alice and Martha Platt; and her nephew Christopher Sener.

She is survived by: her husband William M. "Billy" McCaffrey; her children, William N. McCaffrey (Veronica Palladino) of East Taunton and Sarah McCaffrey (N. P.); her grandchildren, Hazel and William O. "Ollie" McCaffrey; and her brother-in-law John Sener of Takoma Park, MD. She is also survived by cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home (350 Somerset Ave, Taunton, MA 02780). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Saint Thomas Episcopal Church (111 High St, Taunton, MA 02780).
