With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary L. Barkas of East Wareham, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 1, 2026 at the age of 77. She was predeceased by: her husband Theodore A. Barkas, Sr.; her parents, George H. and Mary E. Hamblin (Collings); her son Theodore A. Barkas Jr.; and her brothers, George H. Hamblin Jr. and Paul Hamblin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Barkas of Mattapoisett, Linda Barkas of Dartmouth and Laura McNaught (Kenneth) of East Wareham; her grandchildren, Kristine, Jimmy, Errissa, Patrick, Frank, Jr., Colin, Corrine, Katherine, Alfred (AJ) and Damien; her great grandchildren, Sophia, Liam, Kayden, Karsyn, Madisyn and Farrah; her daughter-in-law Stephanie H. Barkas (Probert) of Wareham; her siblings, Carol Hamblin of Jamaica Plain, Theresa McIrney of West Roxbury, Carl Hamblin of Middleboro and Donna Forgione (Anthony) of West Roxbury; and her sister-in-law Jane Hamblin of Marston Mills.
