He is survived by: his son Jacob Thayer; and his siblings, Elizabeth "Betty" Thayer, Kathleen "Kathy" Gauger and Clifford "Cliff" Thayer Jr.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
