He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis E. Dion and Rita I. Williamson (Allen); and his siblings, Jacqueline Dion, John Dion, Alan "Pete" Dion, Sr. and Ronald Dion.
He is survived by: his wife Joan E. Dion (Martin); his daughters, Dawn Batchelder of Easthampton, Stacy Dion of Easthampton and Terry Dion of Easthampton; his stepson Timothy Wilber (Terry) of Chicopee; and his siblings, Patricia Dion of Chicopee, Loyce Fitzpatrick (Richard) of Springfield, Dorothy Llorens of Glendale, CA, Karen Stockman of Mississippi and Robert Dion of Colorado Springs, CO. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
A reception was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (13 Dale St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A prayer was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Lorraine's Soup Kitchen and Pantry, 170 Pendexter Avenue, Chicopee, MA 01013.
