He was predeceased by: his parents, Stewart J. Sr. Rice and Annette Lorraine Rice. He is survived by: his significant other Katie McGiverin; his sister Carol Rice; his son Jim (Amanda); his grandchildren, Jim, Michelle and Rachell; his daughter Jennifer Heath; his siblings-in-law, Joe, Jennie McGiverin, Barb, Bernie Grynkiewicz, Sue, Mike Leary, John McGiverin and Karen Mickey; his nieces and nephews, David, Sarah Grynkiewicz, Christine, Joel Mollison, Brenda, Jamie McGillicuddy, Kelly McGiverin, Pat Lacey, Amanda, Adam Kenney, Jessica Leary, Eric Batchelder, Cokie and Tom Forbes; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Henry Mollison, Alexis Kenney and Abagail Kenney.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home (2049 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA 01040). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Jerome Cemetery (1666 Northampton St, Holyoke, MA 01040).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Stew to The Holyoke Merry-Go-Round, 221 Appleton Street, Holyoke, MA 01040 or a charity of one's choice.
