She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsmore M. Penney and Eva M. Penney (Latulippe); her daughter Susan Burns; and her sister Rebecca Coffey. She is survived by: her sister Ruth Weeks of Florida; and her children, Jessica Townes of Edgartown, James Carter of Edgartown and Jeffrey Chapman of Edgartown. She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations to be made to Hospice of Martha's Vineyard or the Edgartown Council on Aging.
