He was predeceased by: his parents, Lela Harney (Brown) and Raymond A. Harney; his wife Geraldine Ellen Whippen; and his siblings, Lela Dunne, Thelma LoPorto, Eleanor Henneberry, Olive Jackson, John, Raymond, Robert and Edward Harney.
He is survived by: his sister Lois Fabiano; his children, Scott (Jehan), Donald A. (Shannon), Kenneth (Maria) and Cynthia Becker (René); and his grandchildren, Nur, Maxime, Sadie, Genevieve and Lucie.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jf Ward Funeral Home (772 Broadway, Everett, MA 02149). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Grace Church (194 Nichols St, Everett, MA 02150).
