He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara (Ponichtera); his parents, John Souza and Lydia Souza (Jason); and his brother John "Jack" Souza, Jr.. He is survived by: his sons, Geoffrey Souza of Fairhaven and Christopher Souza of Fairhaven; his granddaughter Sophie; his cousin Joann Livramento of New Bedford; and his brother-in-law Allen Ponichtera (Gail) of New Bedford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
