He was predeceased by: his wife Alda Silva (Viveiros); his parents, José F. Silva and Mariana Rego Alberto Silva; and his sibling Noemia F. Sousa. He is survived by: his daughters, Lois Chouinard (David) and Gina Mendonca (Brad Camara); his granddaughters, Nicole Saikali (Christopher) and Mallory Farrell (Timothy); his great grandchildren, Maya Farrell, Jackson and Emma Saikali; and his siblings, Celia Sousa, Eduarda Costa, Elmira Cabral, Jose Silva and Noe Silva.
