With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Antonio R. DeMelo of Fall River, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 20, 2026 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by: his spouse Ledonia O. DeMelo (Medeiros); his parents, Antonio and Maria; and his siblings, João Torres, José Raposo, David Raposo, Gloria Torres and Leonilde Pimentel.
He is survived by: his children, Paulo J. DeMelo (Jackie) of New Bedford and Cidalia Sakalaukus (David) of Lakeville; his siblings, Joaquim Raposo of Canada, Julia Raposo of Canada and Sara Medeiros of Canada; and his grandchildren, Adam DeMelo (Kayla) of Fairhaven and Taylor Streck (Renee) of Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
