He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Nunes Pereira and Maria Segunda De Gouveia; and his siblings, Manuel N. De Gouveia, Maria N. Pestana and Joao N. Pereira.

He is survived by: his siblings, Lina De Gouveia, Bernardete N. Correia, Teresa N. Pereira, Angelina Pereira De Gouveia, Margarida N. Menezes, Leonarda Raposo and Jose Nunes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
