He is survived by: his spouse Zulmira Soares (Roque); his children, Armando Soares, Sandra Soares, Patricia Soares, Grace Chapman and Rui Soares; his grandchildren, Sonny, Jae, Tevin, Candace, Brittney, Michaella, Mackenzie, Azaria and Mateus; his great grandchildren, Tyrone, Jaeda, Nyeli, Adelina, Benjamin, Marcel and Noel; and his siblings, Belmira Amaral, Hortência Soares, Connie Menezes, Esmeralda Raposa, Laudlina Goncalves and Osvaldo Menezes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
