He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria Lourdes Sousa (Dias); his parents, Maria Fernanda Sousa (Martins) of Canada and Arnaldo Sousa; his siblings, Guida Domingues of Canada, Bertha Medeiros of Canada and Florvidal Sousa of St. Michael, Azores; his grandson Dawson P. Sousa; his caregiver Diamantina Fernandes; his son Gary Sousa; and his brother Oliver Sousa. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
