He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline Laprise (Estrella); his parents, Albert Laprise and Amelia Laprise (Wilks); his daughter Susan Cabeceiras; and his siblings, Dennis Laprise and Dorothy "Dottie" Oliver.

He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Viveiros (Grover Owens) of Goose Creek, SC and Barbara Goncalo of Fall River; his brothers, Ronald and Albert Laprise; and his grandchild Thomas Laprise of Bryson City, NC..
