She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Kenneth M. Platt; her child Kim A. Platt; her sister Judith Lake; her parents, Alfred Arruda and Emma Arruda (Joaquim); her brother Alfred J. Arruda; her caregiver Maria "Fatima" Rego; and her friend Elaine Bispo.
A Mass will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Church (951 Stafford Rd, Fall River, MA 02721).
In memory of Barbara's compassionate spirit, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.
