He was predeceased by: his parents, Joao Da Costa and Maria Da Costa (Melo); his son Dennis D. Costa; and his sister Evelyn Botelho. He is survived by: his wife Lidia Costa (Oliveira); his daughter-in-law Sally Laramore; his sisters, Lorena Oliveira of Somerset and Maria Natalia Souza of Swansea; and his grandchildren, Tyler Costa, Isaiah, Messiah, Braden and Skyler Laramore. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
