Doris Eva Dewsnap Obituary
Doris Eva. (Dionne) Dewsnap., 87, of North Main Street in Fall River formally of Prospect Street in Somerset passed away Monday June 20, 2005 at the Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Center in Fall River she was the wife of the late John E. Dewsnap. Born in Fall River, MA on June 2, 1918 the daughter of the late August and Annie (Thibodeau) Dionne.
Mrs. Dewsnap was a graduate of Notre Dame de Lourdes school and the former Dominican Academy, she the worked as a secretary for the Durfee High School principal for the Fall River school department for thirty two years and retired in 1975. She was a member of Saint Louis de France Church for many years and a Marion medal recipient.
Mrs. Dewsnap enjoyed bowling with the ladies school league, going to Horseneck beach, crossword puzzles, watching PGA golf, and tennis but most important signing and palying her collection of all artists and their music. Survivors are two nieces Mary Alice Dionne of Barrington, RI Doris Dionne of East Providence, RI and a grandniece Rachel Estrella of Barrington, RI and many good friends and neighbors.
Funeral Information Her funeral will be held on Friday, June 24, 2005 at 9:30am from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA Relatives and friends are invited to attend, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10am in Saint Louis de France Church 56 Buffinton St., Swansea. Burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery Fall River.
