Dorothy D. Durfee Obituary

FALL RIVER…Dorothy D. (Michaud) Durfee, 68, of Fall River passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at St. Luke"s Hospital in New Bedford. She was the widow of Bradford Durfee. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Dorothy D. (Labouliere) Michaud and had lived most of her life in Fall River. Mrs. Durfee worked as a Unit Secretary at Charlton Memorial Hospital for many years until her retirement.

She enjoyed spending her time on East Beach in Westport, collecting sea glass, bird watching, knitting and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Stacey Olsen and her husband Sean of Fall River, her son, David Stefanik and his wife Melissa of Dartmouth, a sister, Cheryl Proulx of Taunton, a brother, Andrew Michaud and his wife Elizabeth of Sandwich, 4 grandchildren; Taylor, Haleigh, Jonathan and Nicholas, several nieces and nephews.

She was the twin sister of the late Antoinette DeMello and Vincent Michaud, Jr. Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 8 am from the Boyko Memorial Funeral Home, 709 Broadway Fall River, MA followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:15 am at Holy Trinity Parish, 951 Stafford Rd. Fall River.

Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
