She was predeceased by: her parents, Lionel Almeida and Edalina Almeida (Medeiros); and her sister Eileen Borges. She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Stelmar (Scott) of Braselton, GA and Catherine Gonsalves (V. J. Maxwell) of Columbus, OH; and her grandson Nathan Gonsalves. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
