He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Lavoie (Demers); his parents, Emile Lavoie and Melanie Lavoie (Pelland); his son Roger Lavoie; and his brother Raymond Lavoie.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Lavoie (Pamela) of East Providence, Raymond B. Lavoie (Elsie) of Dartmouth and Robin Medeiros (Daniel) of Swansea. He is also survived by his children he leaves behind 7 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
