He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine Howard (Kearns); his parents, Ruel Howard and Eva Howard (Bozack); and his siblings, Edward Howard, Thomas Howard, George Howard, Dorothy Lynch and Bernice Kenney.

He is survived by: his daughter Kathleen "Kathy" Farias (late Riley); his grandchildren, Nancy Womack (Dave) and Derek Farias (Kristen); and his great grandchildren, Zachary Charette (Brenna), Aidan Farias, Ella Farias and Cora Farias. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
