He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Fernandes and Rosa Fernandes (Antunes). He is survived by: his children, Peter Fernandes (Ana Maria Pacheco), Christine Fernandes (John Medeiros), Jenny Correia (Jasiel F. Correia, II) and Mason Fernandes; his stepchildren, Colyn Melo, Eric Melo, Joshua Melo and Ashley Melo; his grandchildren, Elsie Medeiros, Evan Medeiros and Jasiel F. Correia, III; and his brothers, Jose Fernandes (Lourdes) of Fall River, Manuel Fernandes (Lucinda) of Fall River and Serafim Fernandes (Vidalia) of Fall River. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
